The Agenda for the October 20th, 2015 Board Meeting has been posted on the Minutes and Agenda Page.
At the July 21st Village Board Meeting, Trustees approved an ordinance to prohibit semi-trucks from using South View. This ordinance is in response to area residents complaining of semi trucks using South View as a shorter route to County Highway 20. The ordinance goes into effect immediately, and will be enforced by Village Officers, with offenders facing a fine ranging from $75.00 - $750.00. This ordinance will not apply to campers or deliveries being made within the Village. Signs will be erected at both ends of South View as soon as possible.

As a result of the extremely wet conditions in and around the Village so far this summer, and in response to citizen feedback, the Village is implementing Mosquito control efforts, beginning this week. Residents should expect to see a truck-mounted fogger throughout town. The fogging will take likely place between the hours of 8:00pm and Mid-night. Please contact the Village Office at 468-2476 with any questions or concerns.
The Village of Oreana is in the process of scheduling our Oil-and Chip work for this season. We do not have exact dates yet, but the work will likely take place in the next month or so. This year, the following streets will be oiled and chipped: South View St, West Plains Dr, Rayjon Dr, View Dr, View Circle, Park Ct, Westmoor Ct, and Westmoor Dr.

From this site, residents can keep up to date with current events, download meeting minutes and agendas, reserve the park pavilion, and more. Please take a few minutes and look around. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, submit a request. -- Mayor Aaron Keathley

Residents will soon notice that the Village of Oreana Police Department has undergone some changes. First, our vehicle has been re-lettered for better identification as the "Oreana Police" Vehicle. Officers will still be dispatched the same way --- continue to call 9-1-1 for emergencies, and 424-1311 for non-emergency issues.
