PUBLIC NOTICE
You may soon notice some construction activity around town! We are making improvements to the Oreana water system. The planned improvements include the replacement of approximately 4,200 lineal feet of watermains at various locations throughout the Village. Funding for this project is provided by a low-interest loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s Public Water Supply Loan Program (PWSLP). The PWSLP is funded by both state and federal resources. The cost of the project is $1,407,611.22. The approved loan amount is $1,407,611.22 with an interest rate of 1.4000% to be repaid over 20 years. The Village expects to $999,403.97 of the loan amount to be forgiven by the State of Illinois.
